Sun Pharma Launches Phase I Clinical Trial in Partnership with Alacrity Care

Sun Pharma’s clinical trial is focused on novel frontline therapies for patients with metastatic prostate cancer and will use Alacrity Care’s patient monitoring technology

Los Angeles, CA, January 28, 2021—Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, a multinational manufacturer and seller of pharmaceutical formulations and ingredients headquartered in Mumbai, India, launched a Phase I clinical trial to establish the safety and tolerability of abiraterone acetate (Yonsa) and tildrakizumab as a treatment for metastatic prostate cancer, which will use Alacrity Care’s patient monitoring technology throughout the trial.

Up to 30 patients will be enrolled in this study and given escalating doses of tildrakizumab (100 mg, 300 mg, 600 mg) in combination with a stable dose of abiraterone acetate. Each dose level may be expanded to 10 patients based on early efficacy signals. Patients will use Alacrity Care’s remote monitoring system to report daily health vitals and allow for easier, more efficient communication.
